4-Year-Old Kindergarten

Four-year-old kindergarten is an important step in the early education process, offering numerous opportunities for children to refine their social skills and become increasingly independent.  Our play-based program is designed to encourage children to explore, problem-solve, communicate openly with peers and teachers, think, create, learn and have fun.  Our program is developed in line with children’s interests and understandings, and celebrates their individuality and family backgrounds.  Our teaching staff aim to encourage children to experience wonder and develop a love of learning.

Our educators have a good understanding of school readiness, and we work with children to help them become confident and resilient individuals who are enthusiastic about their learning.

Beginning in 2022 Doncaster East Pre-School will offer two multi-age kindergarten groups, with the children enrolled in our funded four-year-old program attending kinder three times a week. Both Kangaroo and Koala Group have three staff (one teacher and two co-educators) working with the group and there is a maximum of 28 children in each group.
